As part of its continued mission to connect the global healthcare community with clinically relevant information and education that improves patient care, HMP Global, a leading healthcare event and education company, has announced the upcoming debut of a brand-new, online-only journal entitled Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia. JCLI is the official journal of the Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) Global Society and will provide an international forum for the presentation of original research, randomized trials, large registry studies, and recent results related to all aspects of diagnostic, therapeutic and pathophysiologic aspects of critical limb ischemia. Articles will be reviewed by multidisciplinary CLI experts who understand the complex nature of critical limb ischemia and will likely substantially influence the clinical practice of treating the co-morbidities present in patients presenting with advanced disease.

Jihad A. Mustapha, MD, the founder of the Amputation Prevention Symposium and co-founder of CLI Global Society, will serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia. The online journal will be published quarterly and is the first peer-reviewed academic journal centered on interventional techniques and focusing on original research, randomized trials, registry studies and the pharmacological, diagnostic, and pathophysiological aspects of this disease.

"While awareness for CLI continues to grow worldwide, there is still a need for enhanced attention to awareness, research, guidelines, and education on the international stage,” said Jihad A. Mustapha, MD. “As such, the Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia will address the existing educational gap by shedding light on original research, peer-reviewed by multidisciplinary, global CLI experts who understand the complex nature of critical limb ischemia.”

The debut publication of Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia is scheduled for Spring of 2021.

The article submission portal is presently open for the Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia. If you would like to contribute, please visit https://www.editorialmanager.com/clig/default.aspx.
